Mexican Cornbread Recipe

1 pkg. mexican cornbread mix
2 beaten eggs
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup oil
8 to 10 ozs. grated cheddar cheese
1 lb. hamburger meat
1 jalapeno pepper, chopped
1 cup milk
3/4 tsp. salt
1 can cream-style corn
1 medium onion, chopped

Mix cornbread mix, eggs, milk, baking soda, salt, oil and corn together; set aside. Brown meat, onions and jalapeno pepper. Pour 1/2 of corbread mixture in bottom of a 9x13-inch pan. Put 1/2 of the cheese on top, then put all the meat mixture, the remaining cheese and top with remaining cornbread mixture. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
