5 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 onion, chopped
3 c. water
1 c. half and half
1 t. chicken bouillon
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Combine potatoes, onion, celery, and water in a 3-quart Dutch oven. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Drain, setting vegetables aside and reserving 1-1/2 cups cooking liquid in Dutch oven. Using a potato masher, mash vegetable mixture. Return with cooking liquid along with milk, salt, bouillon, and pepper. Cook, stirring constantly until soup is thoroughly heated.
