12 eggs (separated)
1/2 ts salt
1# butter
3# powdered sugar
1 ts vanilla
1 ts rum flavoring
1 ts mace (optional)
1 ts nutmeg
1 ts cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites until stiff, add salt. Beat egg yolks until light. Cream butter and powdered sugar until crumbly. Add egg yolks and flavoring to butter and mix well. Add egg whites and beat until mixed.

Put batter in hot cup; 1 jigger rum, 1 jigger brandy. Nutmeg for topping

This was from Betty Gotstein's recipe box. After a few Tom and Jerry's one Christmas, Betty wanted another 'Rum and Tommy'. We still call them Rum and Tommy's today and laugh.
