1 cup (2 sticks) margarine or butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla or 2 tsp grated orange peel (about 1 orange)
1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt (optional)
3 cups Quaker Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
1 (12 ounce) package (2 cups) Butterscotch Flavored Morsels

Directions:

Heat oven to 375F. Beat together margarine, sugars, eggs, vanilla until creamy. Gradually add combined flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon; mix well. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by level measuring tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 7-8 minutes for a chewy cookie or 9-10 minutes for a crisp cookie. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. Cool Completely.
