8 cups apple cider or juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
4-6 cinnamon sticks
1 tsp whole cloves
1 tsp whole allspice
1 orange, sliced
cheesecloth

Directions:
Directions:
In large saucepan, combine cider and brown sugar. Cut a 6 inch square, double thick piece of cheesecloth to use for a spice bag. Place cinnamon, allspice, and cloves in the center of the cheesecloth. Bring corners together and tie securely with string. Place spice bag in cider mixture. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and let simmer 10 minutes. Remove spice bag and place thinnly sliced oranges in saucepan. For added flavor, orange slices may be studded with additional whole cloves.
