2 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
tsp salt
1 (17 oz) can fruit cocktail

Frosting

cup canned milk

1 cup pecans and/or coconut (I use 1c. pecans + c. coconut)

Directions:
Directions:
Beat sugar and eggs. Sift flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl. Alternately add this flour mixture and the fruit cocktail (and its liquid) to the sugar and eggs, beating well after each addition.

Bake 45 minutes @ 300 in a 10X12X12 inch un-greased pan.

Frosting: Melt butter; add the rest of the ingredients, mixing and stirring to prevent sticking, for 2 minutes then pour over hot cake.

This is a sweet, wet cake and very rich.
