6 boneless chicken breasts
1/2 c. flour
1 t. salt
dash pepper
2-3 T. margarine
1-1/2 c. fresh (or frozen, thawed) cranberries
1 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. water
1 T. wine vinegar
1 T. flour
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. gr. cloves
1/4 t. allspice
1/4 t. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Combine 1/2 c. flour, 1 t. salt, and pepper. Coat chicken with the flour mixture. Saute chicken in margarine until lightly browned. Remove from pan and set aside. Add cranberries, brown sugar, and water to drippings in the pan. Cook until cranberries pop, stirring occasionally. In the meantime, mix vinegar, 1 T. flour, and remaining seasonings in a small bowl. Add slowly to cranberry mixture. Cook until thick. Add chicken to sauce. Place in baking dish and bake 30 minutes or until bubbly.

This dish is great with wild rice although I can't, myself, manage to make wild rice that is not crunchy!
