1 pkg Betty Crocker SuperMoist devil's food cake
Water, vegetable oil, and eggs as called for on cake mix pkg directions
1 14-oz. bag caramels
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate chips

Preheat over to 350. Grease bottom and sides of 13"x9" baking pan; lightly flour. Make cake batter as directed on package. Pour half of the batter into prepared pan. Bake 25 minutes. Meanwhile, heat caramels and milk in 1-qt. saucepan over medium heat about ten minutes, stirring frequently, until caramels are melted (or place caramels and milk in 4-cup glass measuring cup. Microwave uncovered on High 2-3 minutes 30 seconds, stirring once or twice.) Pour and spread caramel over warm cake in pan. Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips. Spread with remaining batter. Bake 30 minutes more. Run knife around sides of pan to loosen cake. Cool completely about 1 hour. Sore covered at room temperature.
