1 jar dill pickles, quart size
cold wate
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup vinegar
1 cup water
1/2 tsp. alum

Directions:
Directions:
Drain off pickle liquid. Cover with cold water, let stand overnight. Drain off water. Thinly slice off flower and stem ends. Cut into one-inch chunks. Make syrup by boiling sugar, vinegar, water, and alum. Let syrup cool before pouring over pickles. Put in covered jar. Store in refrigerator..
