6 large green peppers
5 cups boiling salted water
1 lb ground beef
2 Tbsp chopped onion
1 tsp salt
1 fresh clove garlic minced
1 cup cooked rice
1 can tomato sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Cut thin slice from stem end of each pepper. Remove all seeds and membranes. Wash inside and outside of pepper. Cook peppers in the boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain. Cook ground beef and onion in frying pan until onion is tender. Drain fat. Stir in salt, garlic, rice and 1 cup of tomato sauce. Heat through. Lightly stuff each pepper with cup of mixture. Stand peppers upright in ungreased baking dish. Pour remaining tomato sauce over peppers. Cover and bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake for 15 more minutes. Serve.
