1 small red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 cup washed broccoli flowerettes, chopped
3/4 cup thinly sliced carrots
1/2 cup Italian salad dressing

1 T. milk
1/2 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
1 clove garlic, finely minced
2 T pine nuts OR chopped toasted walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Rinse pasta with cold water, drain again. In a large bowl combine pasta, red pepper, broccoli and carrots. In another bowl, combine dressing, Parmesan, basil, milk, black pepper, and garlic. Mix well and pour over pasta mixture. Toss lightly to coat. Cover and chill for 4 to 24 hours. Before serving, stir in the nuts.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
If the mixture is too dry before serving, add a bit more Italian dressing or milk to moisten. If you can find Italian dressing with basil and Romano already in it, you can eliminate the fresh basil. Recipe is from our daughter-in-law, Blythe.
