"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
1 pound ground sweet Italian sausage 1 16 ounce can of refried beans 1 16 ounce jar of chunky salsa 8 ounces of Mexican shredded cheese.
1. Saute' sausage until completely cooked and drain any grease. 2. In Pyrex baking dish, spread the refried beans to cover the bottom entirely. 3. Mix salsa and cooked sausage together and pour over the beans. 3. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top. 4. You have the option of heating this dip in the oven or the microwave. 5. Serve with tortilla chips- I prefer Tostitos Scoops!
I sometimes saute' chopped onions and peppers with the sausage for added flavor.
