1 C. brown sugar
1/2 C. butter or margarine
2 T. light corn syrup
Bread 12 regular or 6 slices french toast thick bread
1-1/2 c. milk
6 eggs slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
In a sauce pan combine brown sugar, butter and syrup, bring to a full boil. Reduce heat and simmer till thickened. Pour into greased 9 x 13 pan. Put bread slices on top. Combine milk, eggs, vanilla and salt. Mix will and pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate over night. In the morning preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake uncovered for 45 to 50 minutes, or until light brown and knife inserted comes out clean. To serve invert slices. You can serve apple pie filling on the side for those who like it.
