8 large RED applies (but not red delicious), peeled and sliced thin
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp. of cinnamon
1 tablespoon flour
1/4 tsp. of nutmeg
2 Pie Crusts (store bought or see "from scratch" recipe herein)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Add sugar to sliced apples; pre-mix the cinnamon, flour and nutmeg, then add this mixture to the apple/sugar mixture. Always use glass pie plates for these pies for best results! Place pie crust into pie plate and heap apple mixture high to fill pie; cover with second pie crust; flute the edges or press edges together with fork. Cut slits in top and puncture area (about six times with fork). Cook for approximately 1 hour until applies are very done!
