1 8 lb. brisket (2 to 2 1/2 inches thick)
2 cans beef consommé
1 5 oz. bottle soy sauce
3 tbsp. liquid smoke
Garlic powder to taste
3 tbsp. lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Make marinade from last 5 ingredients. Place brisket in large oblong baking dish. Pour marinade over brisket. Leave in refrigerator overnight.

Cover lightly with foil. Bake at 250 degrees for 5 1/2 hours.

Do not use salt. Soy sauce is sufficiently salty.
