40-45 caramels
1/3 C evaporated milk
1 pkg. German Chocolate Cake mix
1 1/2 sticks of butter
1/3 C. evaporated milk
1 C. nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Melt caramels with 1/3 C evaporated milk. Set aside.

Mix cake mix with butter and evaporated milk. Add nuts. Press 1/2 mixture in 9x13 pan. Cook 12 minutes at 350. Pour caramel mixture over top, then put rest of cake mixture over caramel layer. Usually you have to pat it on with small amounts covering the top, making sure the sides connect to the bottom layer so the caramel doesn't run out the sides. Bake 18-20 minutes until firm.
