1 head iceberg lettuce
2 or 3 large vine ripe Ruskin tomatoes
1/2 Florida sweet onion, chopped
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/2 T. kosher salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cut up lettuce and tomatoes into bite-sized pieces. Combine in a large bowl with onion, mayonnaise and salt. Chill no longer than 30 minutes before serving to prevent sogginess. If Florida onions and Ruskin tomatoes are not available, use other sweet onions and vine ripe tomatoes.

Gary's mom used to raise Florida onions in her backyard. These are the best and sweetest onions we ever tasted. They are even better than Vidalia onions!
