1 onion, chopped
2 T. butter
1 cup rice
1 pkg Lipton Noodle soup
3 beef bouillon cubes
1/4 tsp dried thyme
a dash of garlic powder
a little black pepper
2 1/2 cups water

Directions:
Directions:
Saute chopped onion in butter until tender.
Add remaining ingredients and bring to boil and stir for a couple of minutes til bouillon is dissolved. Simmer and cook til rice is tender, may need more water.

This recipe is from Jeff's Nana in Crescent City, FL. I assume her relatives from Alabama gave her the recipe, hence the name. I have been making this since JR and Ben were toddlers. This is one of Ben's favorite foods.
