6-8 cups any type stale bread
4 cups milk
2 cups sugar
8 tbsp butter, melted
3 eggs
2 tbsp vanilla
1 cup raisins
1 cup coconut
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients (mixture should be very moist but not soupy). Pour into buttered 9x12-inch or larger baking dish. Place into non-preheated oven. Bake at 350 for approximately 1 hour 15 minutes, until top is golden brown. Serve warm with sauce.

You can substitute any kind of liquid for the milk. For instance at Christmas you could use egg nog. I like to use Pina Coloda mix for my liquid.
