6 large fresh peaches
12 amaretti cookies, crumbled
3 T. butter
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup amaretto liqueur (approximate)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Cut peaches in half and remove pits. Scrape out a bit of the flesh to enlarge the pit hole. Crush the cookies and divide the crumbs to fill each peach half. Put 1/2 T. butter and 1 tsp. sugar on each peach half. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove baking dish from oven and put 2 or more teaspoons of amaretto liqueur on each peach half and bake for 15-20 minutes longer. Remove from oven and let cool. Serve plain or top with sweetened whipped cream or ice cream.
