"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Directions:
Brown meat. Crush garlic and mix with meat, along with salt, pepper, oregano, sugar and tomato sauce. (I like to add a little dried parsley and/or dried basil here as well.) Cover and let simmer for 20 min. Cook noodles according to package instructions and drain. Layer half of the noodles in the bottom of a 9x13 baking pan. Chop green onions and mix with cream cheese and sour cream. Place half of this mixture on top of the noodles in the pan. Layer half of the tomato sauce over this. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients. Top with grated cheese.
