Cake:

1 c flour
1 c sugar
1 egg
1 small can mandarin oranges (drained)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
Nuts (optional)

Sauce for Cake
3/4 c brown sugar
3 T butter
3 T milk

Bring to a boil and pour over warm cake

Add everything in order given, mix, beat for 2-1/2 to 3 minutes. Pour into a grease 8 x 8 pan and bake for 30 - 35 minutes at 350. Top with sauce.
