1 gallon crab apples
6 to 8 cups sugar
3 cups water
4 cups vinegar
1 stick cinnamon
Tie in a bag:
1 tbsp. ginger
1 tbsp. allspice
1 tsp. whole cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Heat water, vinegar and sugar and spices, then cool and add apples and simmer until tender. Let stand until cold or overnight. Pack cold in jars. Boil syrup and pour over apples and seal. Process for 5 minutes.
