1 c. brown sugar, 1 c. quick cook oats, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 c. sugar, 1 1/4 c. boiling water, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 eggs, 1/4 lb. butter, 1 1/3 c. flour, 1 tsp. nutmeg, and 1 tsp. cinnamon.
Icing: 3/4 c. brown sugar, 1 c. coconut, 1 egg, 3 tbsp. melted butter, 3 tbsp. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over oats, let stand 20 minutes. Cream butter, sugar, and eggs together, then add oats and dry ingredients. Pour into 13x9 pan. Bake at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes.
Icing: Mix ingredients and spread on cake after baking, then put under the boiler until light brown.
