1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 cups flour
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add one egg at a time and beat until light and fluffy. Sift flour with baking powder and salt; alternating with milk and vanilla and dry ingredients. Beat 3 or 4 min.(BEGINNING with dry and ending with dry ingredients in 3 alternate portions of dry and milk portions). Pour into greased and floured tube pan; bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes. After baked, turn out on a plate and drizzle a powdered sugar glaze over warm cake.
