1 banana per person, split in quarters lengthwise
Brown sugar (1 tbsp per banana)
Butter (1 tbsp per banana)
Dark rum (or other liquor such as brandy)
Ice cream (vanilla preferred)

Directions:
In a large skillet melt butter and brown sugar together. The amounts can be increased if more sauce is desired. Once melted, add the bananas, and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes. Spoon in the liquor, taking care not to ignite the sauce (unless that is the effect you wish). Place the ice cream in bowls, pour the sauce and bananas over the ice cream. Serve immediately.
