1 (8-1/4 oz.) can pineapple slices
2 T. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
4 maraschino cherries, halved
1 - 1 layer size yellow cake mix

Directions:
Directions:
Drain pineapple, reserving liquid. Halve pineapple slices crosswise. Melt butter in 9-inch round baking pan. Stir in brown sugar and 1 T. of reserved pineapple juice. Arrange pineapple and cherries in bottom of pan. In a medium mixing bowl, prepare cake according package directions; spread batter over pineapple. Bake at 350 about 40 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool on wire rack for 5 minutes; invert on cake plate.
