1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 can (20 ounces) cherry pie filling

1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 tbsp. butter

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add sour cream, vanilla, and dry ingredients. Mix the topping ingredients in a separate bowl. Spread one-half of the cake mixture in a well-greased 9 x 13 pan. Cover with cherry pie filling. Put on the rest of the cake mixture and sprinkle with the topping mixture. Bake for 45 minutes at 350.
