1 head of lettuce
Diced celery (about 6 stalks)
1 large can peas (drained)
1 medium red onion (sliced)
11/2 c. Miracle Whip or Hellmann's mayonnaise (spread on top of the red onion layer)
1 T. sugar (sprinkle lightly on top of mayo layer)
Parmesan cheese (final layer-sprinkle generously)

In large salad bowl layer ingredients in order listed. Refrigerate over night. Sprinkle with real bacon bits just before serving.

Note: Spin lettuce leaves so that they are dry before tearing.
