1 box German chocolate cake mix
1 bag caramel chews
2/3 cup evaporated milk, divided
1 stick butter, melted
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Unwrap caramels. Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Set aside. Mix dry cake mix with melted butter and remaining 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Place half the batter in a greased 9X13 pan. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. After baking, pour melted caramel over cake mix. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Crumble the remaining batter over the caramel, then sprinkle nuts on top. Bake at 350 for an additional 20 minutes.
