2/3 cup soft shortening
1 1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 cup milk
2 1/2 cups cake flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, use part butter for flavoring. Beat in sugar, add eggs one at a time. Sift dry ingredients, add alternately with milk. Bake in 375 oven for 35-40 minutes.
