Hummus:
1/2 c. walnuts
3 T. walnut oil
1 garlic clove, quartered
14 oz can chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed
1/2 tsp. orange zest
1/4 c. orange juice
1 tsp. salt, or to taste
1/4 tsp. pepper, or to taste
Pita:
6 pita bread rounds ( 6-inch diameter)

Directions:
Directions:
Toast walnuts in 350 oven for 8 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in room temperature. Combine toasted walnuts with oil and garlic; puree in food processor or lender until smooth. Add chickpeas, orange zest, orange juice, salt and pepper; continue to blend to an even, creamy consistency. Adjust seasoning, if necessary smooth.
Toasted Pita Bread:
Cut into wedges and place on cookie sheet. Brush both sides with olive oil and salt and pepper if desired. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes.
