2 cans of Oregon brand cherries-drain only 1 can
1 cup of sugar
2 tsp of almond
1/3 cup of flour
2 drops of red food coloring-optional

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour and sugar together and then add all of your wet ingredients along with the berries and juice. Place in your pie shell. Add the top of pie shell, tucking and pinching sides of dough together. Cut 7-8 slates in top of dough and brush with milk. Bake for 10 minutes at 425 and reduce heat to 375 and bake for 25-35 minutes or until juices are bubbling through the slates and it is golden brown.
