Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 lbs mild bulk pork sausage
1 medium green pepper, sliced in half and seeds removed (optional)
1 large onion, chopped
2 28 oz cans tomatoes, chopped
4 8 oz cans tomato sauce
4 8 oz cans water
2 T granulated or 6 cubes chicken bouillon
1 1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 1/2 cups small shell-shaped macaroni
basil, oregano and parsley flakes, to taste
shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:
Directions:
In a dutch oven or large saucepan, brown sausage and onion; drain. Stir in remaining ingredients except macaroni shells and shredded cheese. (The green pepper will be removed after cooking.) Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Add a little water if this cooks down. Stir in macaroni. Cover and simmer for an additional 15-20 minutes until macaroni is tender. Remove green pepper. Ladle into bowls and top with a little shredded mozzarella cheese. Makes 12 servings of 1 1/3 cup each.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This freezes well. A double batch makes 24 1 lb margarine tubs full. Add cheese on top before freezing or at time of serving. Italian link sausage may also be used, cut into 1/2 inch pieces.
