2 lbs beef roast cut into 1 inch cubes
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 1/2 cups beef broth
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic (can use garlic powder)
1 bay leaf
1 tsp paprika
4 carrots, sliced
3 potatoes, diced
1/2 onion
1 stalk celery, sliced

Directions:
Directions:
Put meat in stoneware. Mix flour, salt and pepper (and garlic powder if using) and pour over meat. Stir to coat meat. Add remaining ingredients and stir to mix well. Cover and cook low 10 hours or high 6 hours. Stir stew thoroughly before serving. (I often put this in late Saturday night so it will be ready after church. I also often add more veggies and some more liquid).
