1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped (1 cup)
1 green bell pepper, chopped (1 cup)
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 (16-ounce cans red kidney beans, rinsed and drained)
2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans petite diced tomatoes
2 tablespoons chili powder (or more to suit taste)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon ground cumin

Directions:
Directions:
Cook first 4 ingredients in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring until beef crumbles and is no longer pink; drain. Stir in beans and remaining ingredients. Cover skillet and simmer for about an hour or place in 5-qt. slow cooker and simmer for several hours.
