1 lb. grated cheddar cheese
1/2 lb. butter
4 c. flour
1 T. sugar
salt and red pepper to taste
dried dates
pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and cheese together. Sift together flour, sugar, salt and pepper, and combine with the cheese-butter mixture. Roll out on floured board. Stuff each date with a pecan half. Enclose each date with a piece of dough cut large enough to cover it, pressing edges together to seal. Place on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 until lightly browned.
