Poppy seed dressing:
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. dry mustard
2/3 cup red wine vinegar
3 T. onion juice (I use the bottled found in the spice section)
2 cups salad oil
1/2 tsp. red food coloring
3 T. poppy seed
Romaine lettuce
White onion

Dressing: Place the wet ingredients in the blender and blend at least 3 or 4 minutes. Add poppy seeds at the very end. Refrigerate overnight.

Note: This makes a lot. I have also halved the recipe.
