1 cup chopped dried apricots
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup oatmeal
1/3 cup melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Cook until thick the dried apricots, 1/4 cup brown sugar, water, and lemon juice. Stir in the coconut and cool this mixture. Sift together the flour, salt and soda. Stir in the 1/2 cup brown sugar and oatmeal. Mix in melted butter until crumbly. Press half the crust mixture into a greased 8 inch square pan. Spread with apricot filling. Press remainder of crust on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
