1 c. shortening, 1 c. brown sugar, 2 eggs, 2 1/2 c. flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. water, 1 c. granulated sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 tsp. salt, 2 cups chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugars, shortening, vanilla, water and eggs together. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, salt, and baking soda. Slowly add dry ingredient to sugar mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Bake at 300 for 8 to 10 minutes. Add chopped nuts if desired.
