2/3 cup shortening
2/3 cup margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups white flour
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla thoroughly. Blend in remaining ingredients. Drop by rounded teaspoons 2" apart on parchment paper or ungreased baking sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes at 375. Don't overbake! Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet. (Dough may also be frozen until ready to thaw and bake). Makes about 7 dozen.
