2 3/4 cups flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 cup shortening
2 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
3 eggs
1 cup chopped nuts
1 small package chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Melt shortening in large saucepan. Add brown sugar. Stir well. Allow to cool slightly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add dry ingredients, nuts and chocolate chips. Pour into greased 10X15 pan. Bake 25-30 minutes at 350. Don't overbake. Makes 20-24.
