Lay any hard candy on a cookie sheet, allowing room for expansion. The delicate cut rock candies or the striped ones are exciting when the design expands. Bake seven minutes, watching through oven window to see when they are done. They will reach about the size of a lemon slice. Let cool briefly, then pierce with a toothpick, can opener, nut pick or pencil to make a hold for the ornament hanger. These can be stored from year to year, or just eat them and make new ones. They make nice gifts for children to make. Most candies need 275º. Use foil on a cookie sheet.
