5 slices bacon, chopped
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. water (or more)
1 and 1/4 c. pared, diced potatoes
1/2 c. chopped carrots
1 tsp. instant chicken bouillon
1 and 1/2 cup milk
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 8 oz. can corn kernels, drained
1 and 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 and 1/2 T. flour

Directions:
Directions:
partially cook bacon in large pan. Add onions. Cook until bacon is crisp. Stir in water, potatoes, carrots and bouillon. Heat until boiling; reduce heat and cover. Simmer until potatoes are tender (about 15-20 minutes).
Stir in milk, corn, pepper. Heat to simmering. Mix cheese and flour; add to soup; stirring constantly until cheese is melted.

This is really good; good flavor. It is great to serve with a green salad and crusty bread.
