Melt together 3 c. chocolate chips (milk chocolate and semi-sweet chocolate mixed half-and-half is best) and one can sweetened condensed milk.* Fold in 1/2 tsp. vanilla and dash of salt and about 1 c. nuts if desired. Spread in a 9x9 inch pan lined with waxed paper. Lift out when solid. Wrap the pieces in plastic wrap.

*Sweetened condensed milk: Place 1/2 c. warm water in bowl or blender. Add 1 c. plus 2 tbsp. instant nonfat dry milk and mix well. Add 3/4 c. sugar and mix until smooth. Can be used in recipes calling for Eagle Brand or one can sweetened condensed milk.
