Self-rising Corn Meal
1 1/2 corn meal (no salt)
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1 1/2 - 1 3/4 cup buttermilk


Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients together and add buttermilk. Stir and pour into hot baking pan or iron skillet with 1 - 2 T. shortening (bacon grease) melted. Bake at 450 for 20-25 min. Ovens may vary.
