Ingredients:  
1/2 a stick of butter
1 onion chopped
2 lbs stewing beef (small cubes)
Salt and pepper to taste
Brown meat and onion
1 can beef consommé
1/2 cup water
1/2 sherry or burgundy (optional)
2 Tbsp. worchestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. horseradish
2-4 oz. cans mushrooms (drain) Or use fresh
Add the liquid and simmer covered until meat is tender. Thicken with 1/4 cup of flour and water.
Add mushrooms
Before serving add 1 cup of sour cream (or less)
