1/2 c sugar
1 c white Karo syrup
1 c pecans
1 tbsp melted butter if desired

Directions:
Mix all ingredients and put in unbaked (unpricked) pie shell. Bake in slow oven (325 to 350) for 1 hour. Use the lower heat for a glass pie pan. This makes a 7-inch pie. For a 9-inch pie make 1.5 of this recipe. (Fits ready-made 9" pie shell, not deep dish.)
