Pecan Pie Bars Recipe

1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 egg
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup reserve cake mix
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups dark corn syrup
1 cup pecans

Generously grease a 9X13" pan. Reserve 2/3 cups of cake mix for filling. Combine remaining cake mix, butter and 1 egg until crumbly. Press into pan. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes.
Mix 2/3 cup cake mix and the rest of the ingredients and pour over crust and bake about 25 minutes more.
