1 stick margarine
1 cup dark brown sugar (firmly packed)
¼ cup evaporated milk
2 ½ cups confectioners’ (XXXX) sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Melt margarine, brown sugar, and milk in large saucepan
and let boil for three (3) minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from stovetop and add 1 tsp. vanilla extract.
Add confectioners’ sugar to mixture and stir until smooth.
(I add a little more milk and additional sugar until
the icing is the right consistency for spreading on the
cake.)

I use Duncan Hines Butter Recipe Yellow Cake mix.
You can use any favorite cake mix you like for this recipe.
